SDT quotes prices in USD unless otherwise specified. SDT sells FOB Shanghai and will use the customer’s preferred method of shipment. We recommend shipment by air for most one-time orders below approximately 220 pounds (100 kilograms). Delivery to the closest port by sea is also available and should be considered when one or more heavy shipments are expected. With freight container consolidation requirements please allow at least four weeks for delivery when specifying sea shipments.

SDT can also quote FOB the customer’s dock upon request. When requested to quote include shipping costs SDT uses either Federal Express or DHL at our choosing as both offer deep discounts from Asia and fast, 2-3 day delivery. Due to manufacturing economies of scale and long-distance shipping, SDT's minimum order size is $250 per item, $500 per order USD unless otherwise quoted.

SDT standard payment terms are one of the following:

1. Transfer of funds to SDT prior to shipment through an established and verified financial institution line of credit or wire transfer of funds directly from the customer. Please provide the instition's full name, address, account and contact information through Contact Us prior to order placement. You will be notified once your account and credit information is verified. You are then authorized to Place An Order.

2. Net 30 days with a successful history of at least four prior payments totaling not less than $10,000.00 USD over a one year period. Please request net 30 terms once you have fulfilled these minimum requirements. Non-compliance with net 30 terms will result in a delay of future shipments and a return to payment at the time of shipment.

SDT warrants standard products to meet the catalog specifications in effect at the time of order and for a period of one year from the date of shipment. SDT warrants custom products to meet the customer’s print to which SDT quoted or otherwise agreed specifications for a period of one year from the date of shipment.

No express or implied usability or applicability warrantee for SDT product exists. SDT cannot be held liable for damages, loss of income, loss of service, loss of use, or removal or installation costs for defective product beyond replacement of such product agreed to be found defective. Product agreed to be found defective must be returned to SDT freight prepaid. SDT will repair or replace defective product at its option and pay shipping costs equal to the amount incurred by the customer to ship the product to its original destination.


SDT may require a sample of the product exhibiting the claimed defects be shipped to the factory for examination and agreement prior to the return of all defective product. All returns, including samples, require a returned material authorization (RMA) number to be clearly identified on the outside of the shipping container. Please obtain an RMA number from SDT before returning any product. For the customer's protection material returned without an RMA number will be returned to the sender.

Product Packaging:

Standard packaging varies by product and is dependent on order size and product size & weight. For example: Subminiature connectors (SMA and smaller) would typically be packaged fully assembled and five to ten pieces per plastic bag for the typical order size. Outer bags contain 50 to 100 connector bags. Protective outer padding surrounds the outer bag within the shipping container. Heavier items such as Type N or 7-16 connectors might be packaged one piece per “egg crate” container to prohibit surface damage.

Packaging methods and materials are typically selected with two goals in mind: 1) to keep costs low and 2) provide reasonable assurances that the product will remain free of damage from handling during transit. SDT can accommodate virtually any request for packaging from the lowest cost method of bulk packing piece parts of unassembled connectors to individually wrapped items in separate boxes. If special packaging is required, please note this in the comments section of your order.

Cancellation Charges:

SDT will take every possible action to minimize cancellation costs once notified. No costs are assessed on orders cancelled early enough to prohibit any cost impact to SDT or its vendors. This will vary by order. Cancellation is not possible on product already shipped. Cancellation charges are assessed in whole or in part for the following:

  1. Finished goods inventory manufactured for the order with expected ship dates within 8 weeks.
  2. Materials in process with labor & overhead included to the point of cancellation plus ten percent.
  3. Raw materials on hand: Cost plus ten percent.
  4. Raw materials on order that cannot be used elsewhere or cancelled without cancellation charges, at cost plus ten percent.
  5. Any tooling or NRE charges if funds have already been expended.
